New this year! We thought we'd give youth players a chance to experience one of our most popular adult leagues. Our Youth Triples League is the perfect way to play beach volleyball in a fun, relaxed, and competitive (or not—it's up to you!) environment, with a little less court to cover. Open to all skill levels, this league welcomes players of every ability.

Sign up as a team of three (you must have at least one female on the court; 3 females on a team is ok) and compete against other teams at your same skill level each week.

2025 Youth Beach Volleyball Camps

The Oceanside Outdoor Sports summer beach volleyball camp for boys & girls entering Grades 7-12 (as of September 2024) will be held in July at Parksville Community Beach. Youth of all skill levels are welcome.

July 8-10 - This camp will focus on passing technique, serve receive and defensive movements, tailored for 2-on-2 beach volleyball games.

July 15-17 - This camp will focus on setting, attacking and serving specifically for 2-on-2 beach volleyball games.

July 22-24 - This camp will focus on game play situations and scenarios learning different offensive and defensive strategies customized for 2-on-2 beach volleyball games

Coaches:
Jeff Webb - For the past 8 years, Jeff has been focused on coaching and playing volleyball. His background includes competing at the university level and representing Team BC in beach volleyball. In 2017, he was part of the duo that earned Gold at the Canada Summer Games. Presently, he is engaged as a player in the Vancouver professional beach volleyball circuit. Over the years, he has coached numerous teams spanning from U13-U18, both boys and girls.

Shane Hyde - Shane has just completed his 22nd year as the Head Coach of the VIU Mariners. During his time, he has medaled at the Provincial Championships every year, 12 of those being gold. His teams have qualified for Nationals all but 2 times and have earned 6 golds, 5 silver, and 4 bronze medals. He has also spent a number of years on the beach, coaching youth and adults.
